Note:To the Northwest Legends Drivers/Owners: On behalf of the Northwest Legends your Tech Crew would like to inform you of some recent decisions that may/will affect your racing experience with us. These changes are a result of concerns many of you have expressed regarding the competition level in our series. TIRES: Beginning with our next race on the 25th of July…No foreign substance of any kind may be applied to your tires.  INEX rules clearly state that you may not place any substance on your tires that may alter their physical properties.  This includes tire shiners/cleaners, etc.  We will be inspecting tires extremely close on all cars entered in all events.  For those of you that use paint to mark the centerline of your tires please be aware that even this will not be allowed!  You must run the same tires on your car that you start with for the entire day’s event. (Including practice)  All tires will be marked before your car is allowed on the track for the day.  You may only change tires with the inspection and approval of your tech inspectors.  Therefore plan on running the same tires all day.  We will not approve the changing of tires just because you want to during the day.  Violation of the above will result in a DQ. This being said:  Your Tech team will not allow you to compete with a set of tires that we even suspect has been treated with any type of foreign substance. GENERAL INSPECTION:  Regarding cars and teams that tend to dominate our series:  Please be advised that your cars may be under extra scrutiny at any given event.  Do not take this personally as the intent is to insure that all cars are on an equal playing field at all times. Being a former competitor, please understand that those you race against are expecting that we as technical inspectors are entrusted to make sure that this occurs.  Again, we are not “picking on you” or questioning your ability to apply your expertise to the Legend Car racing experience, just reassuring your fellow competitors that everything is on the “up and up” J Respectfully submitted, Your Northwest Legends Tech Team.
